Hi there lovely Maria, My name is Kristy Barrett. I found you while meandering through several blogs I frequent. If you perhaps would be willing to share a personally autographed copy of “Generation Hex” that would be truly out of this world!! This sounds like a fascinating read. I would be over the moon with joy and gratitude, and I’ll trade you an eventual review for the trouble. And maybe your book will help satisfy my seemingly insatiable bookworm. It’s a little known fact bookworms are a species of tapeworm. I’ve freelanced for 3 KY newspapers for 4 years doing book and movie reviews. And I’ve launched a book blog. It’s called Book Island mybookisland.com is now up and running (the island is my bed)J. I am recovering from my 31st surgery and barring another health catastrophe I’ll resume regular blogging as soon as I am remotely able. I would love the chance to host an author chat sometime if you’re willing. Books could literally but joyfully bankrupt me. My mom would say I read books with words. I was born with Cerebral Palsy and in my twenties 4 other illnesses crept in to make things truly interesting. It started with rheumatic fever, then chronic mono, reflexive sympathetic dystrophy, chronic pain syndrome and fibromyalgia. This means I am chronically sometimes critically ill and I spend 95 percent of my time in bed devouring books like mad. I just want my pain to reflect God’s glory. I’ve almost left the planet 5 times in the last 14 years, but the Father isn’t done just yet. When you almost leave the world the tiniest kindnesses are a huge blessing. Without Jesus’ help I can’t walk across a room. I would rather read than eat!! This really would mean more than you could possibly ever know. If I promise you a review it may take a bit of time but unless I draw my last breath first it will happen, just please be patient. If you choose to send anything my way—I would be blessed beyond measure. If you can’t spare a book I totally understand, so no worries. If you would rather I contact your publicist to request a review copy, just please email the correct info. My experience contacting authors and publicists has been beyond my wildest dreams. The Father has flooded my life with book manna using authors as blessing vessels. Unabashed book joy is wonderful medicine for me. God is using authors as my emotional Coast Guard. When pain is monstrous, I dive into a great book!!
Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you're working with? I'm planning to start my own blog soon but I'm having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
